I came up on the design side — a technical designer in Dallas producing construction documents, then twelve years at IBI Group in Los Angeles managing public-sector work: a $6.9M live data-center upgrade for the City of Los Angeles, a $15.6M headquarters security and hardening program for a major water utility, and healthcare and civic facilities for the state and counties.

Then I crossed to the owner's side and stayed there: on-site construction administrator representing the owner on a $250M retail expansion, then running the healthcare portfolio at an Orange County architecture firm, carrying projects through HCAI and CDPH regulatory approval. I also serve in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a Seabee, managing construction tasking for my battalion.

Twenty years in, the through-line is simple: hold the design team and the contractor to the owner's budget, schedule, and contract. I started Aldermont because most owners absorb risk during design and construction that they never had to — and the judgment that prevents it is usually locked inside firms with something else to sell. Aldermont offers it straight, with nothing attached.

The same conviction became software: I founded Draftega, the professional network for design and construction, where owners hire verified professionals and pay milestone-by-milestone. Aldermont is that mission one owner at a time; Draftega is the platform.

One discipline on my sheet is older than the rest: I hold a Graduate Diploma in Feng Shui from Joey Yap's Feng Shui Mastery program (Class of 2025), and I practice it the classical way — siting, orientation, layout, and timing, read from the same plats, surveys, and true-north drawings the technical work runs on. For the projects and markets where it matters, it's on the schedule of services like everything else: examined, written down, and yours to decide on.
